College of Natural and Applied Sciences
The primary aims of college of Natural and Applied Sciences is to provide high quality instruction in the fields of Biological,Chemical and Physical Sciences, and to prepare students for careers in the fields,by inculcating in the students scientific principles and the application of these to the needs of the society.The college seeks to effectively encourage creative endeavor in our academics staff as well as in our students,so that the quality of teaching will reflect in the performance of the students.The graduates of this College will be fitted for jobs in academics, medicine, food production, processing and storage, pharmaceuticals, breweries, Biotechnology, remediation of polluted environment and leadership positions in industries and government. Thus the graduates of this college will provide the scientific and technological manpower that is essential for the technological of the Nigerian nation in this century.
The College of Natural and Applied Sciences offers bachelor’s degree programs in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Industrial Chemistry, Industrial Physics, Industrial Mathematics, Statistics, Fisheries and Aquaculture, Environmental Management and Zoology.
To quality for Admission into this College, the candidate must have 5 credits in SSCE, GCE or NECO which should include English, Math, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and a score of not less than 160 in JAMB. The college also admits candidates with OND and GCE A-level for direct entry.
In the first year all the students enrolled in the College will take basic courses in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics and Mathematics
